Linen stolen, 40s. worth of sheets, Betty Smith distressed. No occasion for Grantham to be listening to Lord S's [Sydney's] proposal [not specified]. Hope Paulina & Martina stay where they are [in Spain]. Thinks Munro acted right in transaction about handkerchiefs. Hopes De la Pierres loss is not great. Whether Sierre ever dealt in Contraband is not known, frequently remarking lately how little it answers. Fernan Nunez's commission; Grantham undertook. Doesn't know what Maguina para copias carr... Mr. Bett[?] concludes his Mayoralty with a meeting to consider police of Town, regulation for the poor & amendment of Morals.
