Fingers almost disabled, but slept well otherwise. Please pass on occasional reports of him to Saltram. Mentions Mr. Weddel visited. Ralph [Worsley] seems to have Chambers. Saw Jim's promotion in Gazette. Would have sent for them at Firbeck to keep him company if he'd been stuck at Newby. Constituents constant in their enquiries but not troublesome. Mr. Bell thinks he improves, Dr. Warren adds nothing.
