    Grantham's safe arrival. Wilsons prevented from getting to Mr. Weddell's by snow. Fritz thinks she was the Lady entrusted to his care at Bath Ball. Mr. Mickle brought Mr. Montague his plan, approved, but think he was not consulted about Mr. Wedell's road. Mrs. Waddilove about to give birth. Fritz has prize of £20. Thought Grantham's precaution of sending for post horses to Hatfield unnecessary, supposes he didn't look at fence. Mr. Wedell has copied paper Grantham gave him. Now copying Carlom's Claudes to decorate his drawings in Architecture. Harry Thompson not at Ripon Concert where Mr. Quick led Band. Richard [Worsley's] letter tolerably written, glad he has theirs. Wrote back & enclosed letter for James. If Ralph stays a week longer from University Fritz will carry him to Alconbury Hill. Have Pelham's settled their Chichester business? Tom Waddilove in gracious to Fritz, his little girl cutting tooth.
