In box with Mrs. Eden & Misses North. Hears young Coleman's Comedy well spoken of. Mr. Carey to marry Miss Jemima Yorke. Lady Robinson met Lady Bel [Amabel Polwarth, Lady Grantham's sister] at Mrs. Wray's. Setting out for Yorkshire in a fortunight. Mr. Pitt's proposal for lowering Duty on Tea to check smuggling. Tom Pelham home, intending a projected journey to Yorkshire. He & Fritz may visit Stanmer & Pepper Harrow first. Called at Mr. Jones' to inquire after cup before it goes to Exeter. May bring it to Newby [Park] if it becomes Grantham's property.
