Will call upon Waddilove to organize venison for Christening etc. Fires in all rooms as if winter. Letter from Nanny; Mr. Parker's illness & visit from Lord Sydney prevented writing. Jack's holyday comes to an end. Mr. Belwood came to [Newby Hall] to see damage to balustrade. Almost blown off horse on way from Newby Park. Hope Ralph flogged for putting off his Opus. Doubts if Maslin's house large enough for Lord Middleton's family. Glad little Fritz has parted so easily with his nurse. Has Tom seen Nurse Wolsted? Will Pitt will not stay long in Paris as there is to be grand Congress of Pitts Grenvilles etc. at Stowe. Lord Thurlow to be there.
