    Arrived this morning. Lay on way at Newark, Kingston Arms. Bridge repaired between Tuxford & Newark. Went via Biggleswade and Stevenage. Lady G's[Grantham's] letter conveyed to Lady Bel [Amabel Polwarth] by man of house at former. Details and description of work on house at Whitehall. Backstairs communication waiting till Mr. Genn comes out. Hanover well taken away etc... Sir William Chambers sometimes comes & sometimes Mr. Coure. All but staircase should be finished after Christmas. Lord Pelham expected Monday. Lord Hardwicke left Wimple for Richmond today. Grosvenor St., no necessarys for kitchen or the table. Joint Lottery Ticket; Ask Waddilove if Fritz should buy. Munro and Newby business, not specific. Talk of Parliament being prorogued.
