- Date free text11 Apr 1778
- Production dateFrom: 1778 To: 1778
- Scope and ContentNo letters from Grantham since 26 March. Fritz well. Nobody in Paris is from England in a public capacity, a few travellers were told they are at liberty to stay or go. Fritz will not stay beyond Monday, then off via Calais or Holland if not able to cross at former. Has only seen Sir John Lambert and Count Prasca who know little. Hopes to receive word from Grantham tomorrow with respect to visits he should make. No time to visit all his own acquaintances. Town not much altered since he and Grantham last there. Appearance of people changed for worse etc.. Hasn't been able to get word to England due to timing of post. Siere happy to see his brother. Fritz sorry to have to separate them.
