Will return [to Madrid] immediately if Grantham wishes it. M. Saubaigné & son very attentive. Takes walks around area; improved since last here. In no doubt of Siere's attendance on him whenever he goes. Hopes for return of happy years spent together formerly. Thanks for Waddiloves letter, may not be able to answer now. P.S. Has settled his money matters, and has written to Draper and Nanny. Commandant just with him, called D'Amou "he is an old officer", declined his invitation to dine.
