News of Therese's miscarriage following the Port Elliott trip. Details of her wellbeing etc... Mr Mudge mentioned. Mr. Parker will visit Dr. Farr with Fritz in Plymouth. Mr. & Mrs. Barland dined & lay there last night. Candletern[?] arrived yesterday safe & unbroken, when they are both up it will be the handsomest staircase in England. Lantern beautiful. Petition will be read in about a fortnight. Therese will probably not go up with Mr. Parker. Wants Nanny to stay until Parker returns. Fritz cannot stay as term begins on Monday week. Sorry father's cough is troublesome what does Sir Clifton say of it.
