Deed Poll [in Latin] by Francis, 2nd Earl of Bedford, granting to Sir William Russell, Thomas Snagge, sergeant-at-law, Lewis Dyve, esquire, Michael Hawtrey, Thomas Duncombe, William Duncombe and Hugh Vaughan, gentlemen, William Beeley, John Stanton and John Barnes junior, yeomen a piece of land measuring 58 feet in length and 26 feet in width formerly in occupation of John Makant, in Abbot’s Woburn [Abbotte Woobourne] whereon a free school is built to have, hold and possess the land and free school; appointing Edmund Harrington and John Hussey, gentlemen as his attorneys to deliver seisin.
