  • Scope and Content
In consequence of Palmerston's last letter to him, Frederick Robinson has written to his solicitor Mr Oddie in Lincoln Inn Fields to conclude the business of the House in Park Street in the least and most convenient manner to all parties. Frederick Robinson finds from Oddie that in consequence of some informality in the execution of the power of attorney, his money has not been taken out of the stocks. It will therefore be most convenient that Palmerston should raise the purchase money, and either buy the house from Frederick Robinson or directly from Mr Bennett. Mr Oddie says he will act as Palmerston's agent thinks fit. Frederick Robinson does not know whether the business can be finally concluded before he is in London in November. His agreement with Bennett was to pay him immediately and to let him receive the rent until Michaelmas next. Has given directions to have enquiries made about Mr Atkinson's house, but does not know to whom direct application is to be made. Asks Palmerston for this information.
