Received North's letter of 30 December 1771, accompanied by a memorial from Messrs Mason and Jones stating their claims against M. Polier. Grantham intends to give their case the fullest attention and will take every step he can within propriety and prospect of success undertake. In doing so he will not be unmindful of the interest which North takes in the affair. Renews his application with which he troubled North before he left England in favour of Mr Draper for a place in the Commission of the Lottery.
