  • Scope and Content
Received a few lines from Mr Waddilove this morning informing him that his Lordships brother is now out of danger and recovers daily. Hopefully he will be able to come to town soon. Encloses a letter received in today’s post for Madam Curtoys. Has written to her since his Lordship might wish to serve her son in law. The disposal of the Consulship which her deceased husband enjoyed depends on the Secretary of State and the will of the King. Asks his Lordship to oblige him in delivering the enclosed letter (written in Spanish) from the Carron Company in Castigon. Has enclosed a copy of the said letter in English that he may not only know the contents of what he wishes him to deliver, but that he may also see that their demand is very reasonable and just. Requests that his Lordship would be so good as to demand an answer from this "stupid" Marquez for which the Carron Company would be particularly obliged to him.
