- Scope and ContentThanks his Lordship for his obliging favour with regard to the particulars which he was pleased to relate. Glad Mr Robinson is recovering well. Encloses that which he has received today from Consul Katencamp. Claims that all governments in this Country are almost alike, "they all protect those damned rebels!" Received a letter today from his brother in law, Captain George Hay of Warriston, near Edinburgh. Informs him that he, his sister and Cousin, Major Munro are to embark next month for Madras, the Earl of India’s company, having given them a very advantageous employment in that country. He apprehends that in a short time he shall have all his family in India except his mother. He has also received a letter from his mother today and thanks God that she is very well and bears the absence of her children with great resolution, combined with hope of seeing them return again to Europe.
