- Scope and ContentEncloses a letter from Mr Katencamp. Longs to hear of any news from England as to General Howe’s success. The Dutch and French Gazettes mention him having obtained a compliant Victory having been in possession of Philadelphia. Colonel Man has been with him today and desires that he acquaint his Lordship with the facts on his procurement of Healy. By remaining in the company until the 5th of next month, he will receive a months pay which will pay for his debts in the company. The sum generally paid for a recruit from Flanders is given as fifteen current Pistoles. [NB: Mr O’Moore has just this moment called upon him and delivered the enclosed discharge for Healy with his respects.]
