    The property used as security for the mortgage is:- 25 acres, 1 rood, 27 perches of land in Kimbolton Road, Bedford. 2 closes of land with approach to Goldington Road, Bedford. Plume of Feathers commercial hotel, Leighton Buzzard. Freehold land near Flitwick Station. The mortgage of £6,000 was granted in 1900, by the then trustees. The mortgage was called in when R S Bond became a trustee in 1910, but Whitbread was unable to pay off the mortgage, though has paid interest. W W Grant has a second mortgage on the properties. Forclosure of the mortgage is obtained, and J A Weston of Stafford Robers and A W merry Ltd becomes Reciever for the rents.
