Thanks Grantham for procuring the Order he wanted. Had sufficient time to forward the Passport by last nights post. Received the extract of the Earl of Rochford’s letter and will put all possible means into practice to procure the necessary intelligence he proposes, beginning with a strong application to their new Consul of St Andrew and the house at Bilbao. The Marquis of Monte Verde who is settled at St Sebastian of Bilbao, may hold it in his power to facilitate any plan. Has forwarded his Lordships letter to Messrs Joyes as requested and begs his best compliments to Mr Robinson and friends who may have the bounty to ask after him. Recovering daily owing to exercise on horseback and sleeping well, (goes to bed at 8.0'clock) but hitherto no appetite and digestion is bad. Looks forward to seeing Grantham at the Escurial before the court returns here.
