Apologises for not attending Mr Ellis, Mr Waddilove and Mr B at Newby, being under doctors directions and the weather being rainy, he did not get further than Thornton Bridge, but sent his nephew to assist. Detailed description of the state of the work. Discharged all the men except Henry who is kept until Mickle hears from Frederivk Robinson. Will collect in all bills and send the abstract up to 20 July. Wishes to know how to start the accounts after that date, and how to proceed with the business that needs doing. Will wait at home for F.R.'s instructions. P.S. that he has been at Copgrove and is to give a plan of alterations.
