- Date free text28 Jul 1786
- Production dateFrom: 1786 To: 1786
- Scope and ContentAs joint executor with Lady Grantham of his brother's will, Grantham issues the following directions: an immediate stop must be put to all improvements to the place at Newby, as it will revert after Michaelmas to Sir Norton Robinson. Mr Ellis had directions to fix a day for meeting Mickle there, Waddilove will attend. Asks Mickle to make a report on the situation of works under his care, and to make the account up to 20 July and send it to him. The draft for £125 has not come to hand but under such particular circumstances it will be duly discharged if possible. Completion of the works at Newby would have done Mickle credit if they had been completed.
