    Parties: (i) Richard Turner of Tavistock [Devon] (ii) Mary Brandreth daughter of late Thoswihan Brandreth of Houghton Regis and wife Mary, formerly Mary Buckeridge (iii) John Bulteel of Membland, Devon and Benjamin Collier of Bartlets Buildings in Holborn Recites settlement on marriage of late Thoswihan Brandreth and Mary Buckeridge dated 1 May 1739 [Z1356/3] under which Mary Brandreth was entitled to receive £2,000 on reaching age 21, secured on property with reversion to her brother Thoswihan Brandreth (son of Thoswihan), of which £200 had so far been paid. Marriage settlement between (i) and (ii) provides that: - remaining £1,800 payable under her parents' marriage settlemetn to be put into trust with (iii). Income on this amount to be paid to Richard Turner during his lifetime, then to Mary Brandreth, then to any surviving children. Capital to go to surviving children (and their children) after their parents’ deaths, or to Richard Turner if Mary dies without living children. - in conjunction with associated lease [Z1356/13] property in Lamerton [Devon] and South Petherwin, Laneast and St.Clether [Cornwall] is released to (iii) in trust for use of Richard Turner. If Richard Turner predeceases his wife following his death £3,200 to be raised from this property for benefit of Mary Brandreth. Income from the £3,200 together with the £1,800 to be used to make up a total income of £160 p.a. - Mary Brandreth to have the use rent-free for at least one year of whatever house and premises she and Richard Turner are occupying at the time of his death. Endorsement by Benjamin Collier: By deed executed January 1770 the £1800 due to Mary Turner (nee Brandreth) was paid off.
