Sent from Saltram: Lockhart joined Admiral Spry's fleet at Portsmouth on a cruise to the south west, and last Wednesday put into Plymouth Sound. Visited Mount Edgecumbe on Thursday. News of Grantham's sister Mrs Parker, her husband and child and their estate at Saltram. Admiral Keppel and Admiral Spry dine there today. Hopes to continue on the cruise for ten days or a fortnight, and then join Mrs. Lockhart in Yorkshire.
