- Scope and ContentLockhart is almost recovered from his cough, but has been advised to take a trip to sea for the air. May next week go on board ‘the Terrible’, Capt. Arbuthnot, a 74 gun ship in which his brother is, or if not he will go soon to Yorkshire as Mrs. Danby has died. Good weather for the King's pastimes at Portsmouth, although some spectators, particularly Sir Charles Bunbury and Lord Clermont, are reported to have been very disappointed and left early. The New Voyages are considered "very sadly narrated". Lockhart never hears from Sir James Grant. Parliament ends its session next week, but will meet again in November.
