On the left is the village shop with a ground floor bay window and metal advertisements on the wall. There is a thatched barn next to the shop and thatched cottages further down the High Street. There are two groups of children standing in the road. No indication of publisher.

    Postcard sent to Miss E Trott, 54 Ladbroke Road, Notting Hill Gate, London W. Message reads "Wednesday, Dear E, I hope you got on all right for the holidays, what a pity it was not this weekend, we could have helped you fine. G being leave on Saturday and coming night. I thought a lot about you all Saturday. I did wish I had Miss B's address & F S Varne, I would have sent her a card. we are returning tomorrow, how quickly a holiday flies. Hope to see you soon. Love Florrie. All good wishes to Flo".
