Thanks Grantham at length for his sympathy on the subject of the recent family misfortune. The girl in question has now been placed abroad, her sister is with her. The revolution in Denmark would surprise Grantham. No certain accounts as yet of what they intend to do with the Queen. It seems that the ambition of the Queen mother was the true spring of this unexpected event, and will probably produce further violence. Parliament is "very Stupid". The debate on the 3g articles was the only long day. Both houses are to have a message from the King tomorrow to recommend the subject of the marriages of the Royal Family to their consideration, which is to be strongly opposed. Sir G. Saville has given notice of his motion on the Middlesex Election, and Charles Fox of a bill to repeal the Marriage Act. Sophia Finch is to be married immediately to Charles Fielding. Lockhart understands that he has nothing; she has £4000. Duke of Roxburgh remains all winter at Fleurs, Lord Robert has been very ill for several months, though is now somewhat better. Lockhart supposes that St. John has told Grantham's brother about his "Victory over the Wigs of Westmr. Hall, in which he exults as one of the Greatest Atcheivements [sic] of the Age in faver of Legal Liberty."
