  • Scope and Content
Kennicott writes on account of his second volume, which he wished to be delivered to all from whom he has received their full subscriptions. However, "the dangers, which always attend sending Books out of England", and the actual loss of some copies of the first volume have made it necessary that all foreigners commission some friends to take up their copies of the second volume in London. This has been done for Germany and Holland. On being told this, Mr. Waddilove said that he believed Grantham would be glad to send the two copies for Don Gabriel and Dr. Bayer, with a third for Cardinal Valenti. If Grantham wishes to take charge of these three copies, with the trouble of transmitting them to Spain, Kennicott will have them sent to his house. Not knowing where Mr. Waddilove is at present, Kennicott encloses a letter for him, asking Grantham to forward it to him.
