    Recites will of mother-in-law, Sarah Nichol of Batlers Green, Hertfordshire, widow, bequeathing property, amongst others to testator (William Firth's) children which he had by Rose, daughter of Sarah Nicholl: Executors: testator (William Firth) and grandson J Nicholls: The principal part of her personal estate was a mortgage for £400 on about 30 acres arable, pasture and meadow, copyhold, in occupation Edward Cosier in Aldenham, of Brightwell Swith whose son conveyed the equity of redemption to testator William Firth in trust for the will. Testator confirms this will Recites Settlement on testator's marriage with Rose, of property in Garston Gate, Hertfordshire (in occupation Lovett), Leighton Buzzard (called Dells Land), and meadow called South End Meads, Edlesborough (in occupation Pitchfork), after death of testator's mother Katherine Firth, widow, giving power to raise £200 for younger children. Testator bequeaths £200 to daughters Sarah, Catherine and Mary Firth, to be raised out of personal estate, so that real estate may go unencumbered to son William Firth to trustees, cousin William Firth of Watford, Hertfordshire, gentleman, kinsman J Nicholl of London, sugar refiner, and friend J Knowlton of St Albans, Hertfordshire, surgeon - £1,000 South Sea New Annuities, on trust to pay interest for maintenance of children till they reach 21, and then to pay £200 to each of three daughters Sarah, Catherine and Mary, and £400 to son William to son William Firth - messuage in Leighton Buzzard, late in occupation father Emor Firth, now in occupation mother Catherine Firth to eldest daughter Sarah Firth - gold watch that was her mother's, silver coffee pot, 3 large silver spoons, silver sugar coaster to son William Firth - gold watch bequeathed to William Firth the son, by testator's brother Emor Firth and which testator usually wears; silver tankard; 3 large silver table spoons; silver watch to daughter Catherine Firth - silver waiter; 3 large silver table spoons, silver pepper caster to daughter Mary Firth - silver pint pot; silver halfpint pot; 3 large silver tablespoons; pair of silver salt sellers to 3 daughters Sarah, Catherine and Mary - £300 each at 21 to mother Catherine Firth the elder - £10 for mourning to sister Elizabeth Horn - £10 for mourning to sisters Mary and Catherine Firth - £20 each to nephew William Horn - £5 Guardians of children: executors and sisters Mary and Catherine Firth Executors: trustees above
