  • Scope and Content
Mr Ash, Sir James, Sir Gilbert, and a bill in Chancery to indemnify the Trustees, and would raise money to put out these Children and pay punctually the interest. I hope they are sincere, it is much for the good of the Children. Have not hear from Mr Hooper a great while. He promised to send me some wine but I hear nothing of it. Last week I was informed he was with the young doctor at Yelden. Now as to your own business, My Lady, Mrs Janes and Mr Ash have been at Melchbourne (where they tarried in the neighbourhood a week), but not long enough to like any thing you left, "for they will now buy nothing except the Roles in the Garden and them they will give little or nothing for... they be extremely offended at you, and Mrs Janes turns up her nose mightily, but now I hear she's going to be marryed, but you are mighty out in your N:B:, for when a person jestinly put it and said perhaps to Mr Ash -- truly if I can't marry better than him I'll never marry whilst I live.. My Lord allso hath got a match allready and it is to be solemnised if he lives till 12 years of Age"
