He would have acted on Mr Tullman’s behalf, however an attack of gout prevented him from travelling to London. When Goodricke returned from Sweden in 1773 he represented Mr Tullman’s case, who had twice been Charge D’Affairs in his absence, to Lord Suffolk for him to be made consul at Ostend; Mr Tullman later suggested a pension would be more appropriate.
