  • Scope and Content
Sir Charles Bunbury having discussed the role of Fox in Grenada with both Grantham and Fox himself, he asserts that all he did there was to negotiate with the French about the captures at St. Eustatia. He had employed Mr. Thomas Walpole to examine the onshore captures that the French “deemed just matter for complaint”. He implies that his influence confirmed the compensation that was paid only for the captures that he had described to Walpole. The letters between himself and Mr. Walpole from that time are recommended as further information. He hopes that he was not to blame for not consulting a Cabinet Council on that occasion. He directs return mail to Euston near Bury.
