Vance and Gregory retired from election for Dublin (Gregory "alarmed at presumed popularity of Morpeth, "which would draw off several votes). De Grey does not believe this is the real reason. Wolverley Attwood to be written to, tonight. Morpeth likely to win, "if we are obliged to send abroad for a man". Brewster "who knows more of election matters than any of our people" says "he will guarantee success, if we have money". On summary on dorse states "our people squabbling."
