John Giles joyntured his Wife in this Close and had Issue by her Henry Giles (his only son) who afterwards dyed so that the Close descended to him as only son and Heir who afterwards married and had Issue Elizabeth: his only Child (since the Wife of Flint) so that the premises came to her after Henry's Decease (who dyed without a Will) as his heir at Law. But the Writeings cannot be found, however a strict Inquiry has been made amongst the Neighbourhood into this Matter who say they Remember the Close to be in the Possession of Flint's Wife, her Father and Grandfather for Upwards of Forty Yeares" with opinion of counsel J Ward 2 November 1727
