Sent from St. James. Draft in French from Grantham to Heredia: Grantham prepared a plan of articles on matters relating to their courts. Had hoped to send it but unable because of an imminent conference. The project conforms exactly to their expectations. As the scheme is not yet complete it is possible only to consider the preface, already hazarded to M. le Comte d'Aranda. Grantham is fairly certain that Aranda ("cet Ambassadeur") will accept the proposition, after the concessions made to Spain.
