By will dated 25 July 1757 Ann Pile, wife of Sir Seymour Pile of Somerley, Hampshire, baronet, gave lands to trustees to sell and to pay £2,000 to her sister Lady Dowager St John to be paid to Lady St John's younger children. Lady St John's will is dated 19 February 1767 but her assets are insufficient to pay her own debts and legacies
