On "Receipt of your Letter to Mr Graves I went over to Newby upon Ure for the parcell brought down by Mr Weddell - the Commissioners meet next Wednesday at Pocklington". Sent extracts from rental to Lady Robinson and Lord Grantham [died 30 September 1770]. At court at Acomb next Thursday "her ladyship" will be found heir to all copyhold in that manor; apparently Sir William did not surrender Strenshall lands but intended Lady Robinson should have them; Mr Grave's opinion of legal position in respect to this.
