Concerning letter to Sir J Hort's agent for private business; visited Mr Extell of Lisbon (Sir John's secretary) who says the private agent is lately dead and therefore that he (Mr Extell) believes himself authorised to transact business in Lord Grantham's letter but will delay until receives expected Letter of Attorney. Thanks for letter of recommendation to Honourable Edward Walpole. Respects to Honourable Mr Robinson.
