Has often drunk Lord Grantham's and his brother's health here "in such Sherry and Pacharetti as I can taste at no other Place"; longs to honour their names in as good wine at Kiltey but cannot without his Lordship' assistance; reassured by Miss Robinson and Mr Parker ventures to request one hogshead each of Pacharetti and Sherry of same sort as Mr Parker had sent to me at Plymouth. Miss Robinson and Mr Parker are well; little boy and his sister, most promising children, former "with all the vivacity of youth is the most manlike child I ever saw, and discovers numberless good Points". They all go to London in January. Eldest son keeping the term at the Temple. Lord North's eldest son went to Cheshire to offer to Miss Egerton the great fortune with her father's approbation but she refused. Lady Tyrconnell told her husband if he does not hasten divorce she will in few weeks present him with a child. Mr Smith now retired to Yorkshire recovered from gout in stomach. Charles Fox gone to try and recover what he has lost in England. This part of England enlivened by warlike preparation at Plymouth, "one can only wish the Terror of them may prevent their intended Effects".
