Mutual friendship gives him chance to know and serve Lord Grantham's relative - family talents etc. Greetings to brother, never forgotten since his days as a cadet, and to Conde Masia [?] and his sons whom he looks forward to entertaining in his own country. Postscript: "As I know Your Excellency speaks Spanish, I am writing in my own language" [actually in Spanish].
