- TitleCorrespondence from Robert to Sir James Abercromby. Sent from Birkenbog.
- Date free text9 May 1774
- Production dateFrom: 1774 To: 1774
- Scope and ContentThanks for both letters about nephew John Abercromby. Will take no notice of his confinement "unless I hear of it from himself"; hopes in future "he will be more upon his good behaviour"; acquaintances give him a good character and "as he is very young, one must hope for the best"..."poor man he has nothing to depend upon but his own merits". Happy to hear your young family recovering from whooping cough; very general in Banff and country about "but not mortell". Left Banff to return home for summer.
