    i) Blyth Foster ii) Mrs. J. N. Foster, sister [-in-law] "Shortly after you left this Morning the Cambridge Post brought us intelligence of the alarming illness of my Uncle at Ansley Hall - he had complained of being poorly last week which was thought to be over fatigue with company - on Friday however he was better & his surgeon [?] allowed him to join a small Party at Brooklands - Saturday & Sunday he kept quiet in his library but on Monday was seized with a shivering fit & Dr Bond was called in but it was not till yesterday forenoon the Doctors became alarmed - in the afternoon he was rather better but Mrs G. P. kept her letter open till 9 p.m. when the latest news from Trumpington reported that he relapsed again at 7 & was much worse - all his Family were with him, we shall hear again tomorrow & I greatly fear the worst news. We have written to both Mrs. George & Mrs Gotch - will send you the next intelligence. I address this to you thinking John will have left Woburn Square before the letters are delivered".
