- recites annuity of £90 settled on daughter Hannah Foster charged on testator's freehold estate; now the copyhold estate charged with same annuity - all freehold real estate to brother Michael Foster who is to insure it from fire & after his death to Dear Foster 2nd son of testator's late brother & to trustees to support the contingent remainders. (testator's brother Richard Foster of Cambridge merchant & Edward Kitchiner of Chells, Stevenage, gentleman), remainder to 1st son of Dear Foster, remainder to 2nd & other sons, remainder to Mathew Foster for life, remainder to trustees to support contingent remainders to 1st son of Mathew Foster, remainder to 2nd & other sons, remainder to Mathew Foster for life, remainder to trustees to support contingent remainders to 1st & subsequent sons of Mathew, remainder to nephew John Foster - legacies: to Samuel Bradly, brother-in-law £100 to John Foster, nephew £100 to Elizabeth wife of Reverend John Geard £50 to Sarah Bradly daughter of Samuel Bradly £50 to Lydia Bradly daughter of Samuel Bradly £100 to Mary, Martha & Ann Bradly daughters of Samuel £50 each to Mathew Foster, nephew £200 to Dear, Michael & Mary Foster, nephews & niece, £100 each to Ann, Elizabeth, Sarah & Lydia Foster, sisters of above £50 each - to daughter Hannah Foster household furniture etc as she shall choose but not to exceed value of £60 - residue of plate, linen, furniture & personal estate to Samuel Bradly, Henry Weston & nephew John Foster on trust to permit brother Michael Foster to make use of the rest of the personal estate in the trade & business in which the testator now is. Testator's desire is that brother Michael shall carry on his business in house, malting, lands & premises which testator now occupies. If any surplus money from personal estate, interest to be for brother Michael for life, Michael giving security. - legacies after death of Michael: to nephew Mathew Foster £100 to Michael Foster brother of Mathew £100 to nephew Dear Foster, the residue in case of Dear's death, to nephew Mathew in case of Dear's death & Mathew's death to nephew Michael in case of death of all the nephews to nephew John Foster of Biggleswade executors: testator's brother Michael Foster, Samuel Bradly, Henry Weston, John Foster witness: John Chase George Day Laurence Times 8 June 1786 Codicil - to Hannah Foster £100 - to brother Michael Foster, Samuel Bradley, Henry Weston & John Foster the executors £500 in trust to invest it, the interest due to daughter Hannah for life, remainder to her children, remainder for want of children, to the residuary legatee as in the will. - to Samuel Bradly £100 - to his daughter Sarah Bradly £50 - to his daughter Lydia Bradly £100 these are over & above what was already bequeathed to them - to Samuel Geard eldest son of testator's niece, Elizabeth Geard £50 witness: Elizabeth Curtis Edward Carter Laurence Times 29 June 1786 proved at London 27 October 1786
