    Dear Foster of Hill End, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, yeoman. Samuel Bradley of Maiden Croft, Ippollitts, Hertfordshire, yeoman & wife Elizabeth Richard Foster of Hoxton Mills, Cambridgeshire, yeoman Michael Foster of Little Wymonly, Hertfordshire, yeoman recites: will of Mathew Foster of Little Wymondly deceased of 6 September 1748 bequeathing to his son Dear & to his daughter Elizabeth the wife of Samuel Bradley & to his son Michael £400 each at 21 & to son Richard £200 at 21, to eldest son Mathew: Mead Close adjoining the orchard of his dwelling house in Little Wymondly & Locks Mead in Little Wymondly. Also to Mathew, his freehold hereditaments in Little Wymondly & Ippollitts, which were devised to testator by his late uncle Michael Foster containing 45 acres with the payment of such of the legacies etc as his personal estate shall fall short of paying. recites: codicil to will 17 January 1750 reciting bequests of £400 to Dear, Elizabeth & Michael & leaving it to discretion of wife as to whether they should receive the £400 or £350 instead; will was duly proved, whereas: personal estate of testator fell short of being sufficient to pay the debts & legacies & Elizabeth, his widow directed that Dear, Elizabeth & Michael should receive £350. whereas: Dear, Elizabeth Michael & Richard have attained 21. In consideration of: £350 to Dear & Michael Foster £350 to Samuel & Elizabeth Bradley £200 to Richard Foster paid by Mathew Foster each acquits & discharges Mathew Foster witness: Joseph Button, Thomas Taylor 12 April 1763
