- Scope and Content'Madam, In my haste to dispatch my letter of yesterday in time for the post I omitted to send the particluars of receipt on the other side. Le Sueur's picture was delivered in the original frame, Mr Bryan informing me the other was not finished. The Bankers inform me your Ladyship has been apprized that £1,247 11s 3d 3% consol was sold at 64 & a fraction (I believe 1/4th) for the £800 ordered to be raised. I have the honour to be, Madam, your Ladyship's obliged and faithful humble servant, Chas. H Ware. [On reverse] Bought in the Orleans Italian Collection Number in printed catalogue:- 52. Titians Vecclli. Titian's daughter holding a casket. 4500 guineas. 133. Le Sueur. The Holy Family (called la Laveuse). 100 guineas. 196. Baroccio at the Lyceum. A Riposo.. La Cierge aux Cerises. 200 Guineas. At Mr Bryants. Total 1000 guineas. Lady Lucas has paid 20 % deposit. Remians 800 guineas. 52. Titian is 4 feet 7 in high - 3 feet 11 in wide. 133. Le Sueur - 4 feet 3 ins square. 94. Albano - 1 foot 10 in high - 1 foot 3 in wide. 196 Baroccio - 4 feet 5 in high - 3 feet 7 5/8 in wide. N.B. The last is without a frame.
