Postcard sent to Miss Maude Dellar, High Street, Guilden Morden, Royston. Message reads "Woodville, 165 Howbury Street, Bedford. My Dear Maude, A line at last, I suppose you will wonder whatever is the matter but really I have been very busy. Edgar has been very ill so I have had to be there & now I am staying for a fortnight. Mrs Martin had been for a few days holiday. I suppose you will have left Holmcroft by this, write & tell me what you think of doing. I wish you were here. I am expecting to go to Cardington any time now. Shall you be coming over to Rushden. I have a lot to tell you but cannot stay for more, just now. I went 40 miles last Sunday with such a nice boy, he is one of the Huntsmen at this place on the card. Not half a nice boy. Poor Edward, I don't know what he would think. Tons of love May".
