- Scope and Content8 October 1807 Contract by Surveyor General to sell to Francis Willes - manor of Biggleswade & appurtenances, rents, courts. etc which manor was a parcel of the possessions belonging to the Crown & was put up for auction at Garraway's Coffee House, City of London on 10 September 1807 & Sir Francis Willes bid £2180 from which the following deductions were made: £31.15.10 moiety payable to the seller of the duty chargeable £55.10 for making a survey Therefore the price paid into his Majesty's Treasury was £2092.14.2 from the payment of which sum Sir Francis Willes was deemed to be in seisin of the property; the sum was paid in the Bank of England & in Office of Auditor of Land Revenue.
