    Admission i) John Croft of Biggleswade, schoolmaster, on surrender of ii) William Fowler of St Neots, brewer - cottage with appurtenances in Stratton Street, Biggleswade - garden with close of past adjoining the cottage, usually held with the cottage which cottage & premises were formerly in occupation of Mary Miles, then John Trott, gentleman, then John Scarborough, then John Croft, lately used as an inn called the Fountain to which William Fowler was admitted 27 October 1790 on surrender of John Trott - parcel of ground in Stratton St [as X440/272] on which has lately been built several stables, coach houses & other edifices with common of pasture [as before] to which William Fowler was admitted 27 October 1790 on surrender Thomas Farrington note that John Croft surrenders his copyhold to use of will rents: 1s 7d 1½d 6d fines: 4d 2d 1/3d 1/2d 2d Paper copy watermarked 1815
