In this black and white photographic postcard, on the left is a large Horse Chestnut tree in flower. with seating around it's trunk and a swing to the left of that. The Barracks, a large three storey brick built house, can just be seen behind the tree. A pony and trap is coming towards the camera, in front of the signpost on the Bedford Road. Beyond that is Forge Cottage and the top of the school tower can be glimpsed behind the white house. The thatched cottage on the right dates from the 17th century and is now The Strawberry Tree.
