    i] Edward Rudd of Biggleswade, gentleman ii) Nicholas Phipp of Potton, gentleman consideration. £460 - premises as in X440/191-2 for term of 500 years at peppercorn rent witnesses: Samuel Luke, Richard Luke 30 March 1719 Endorsed: Receipt for £60 paid to Joan Phipp as part of principal due on mortgage from Edward Rudd. This £60 was paid by Mr Luke & £400 & interest is still unpaid. Note: "This may be cancelled or assigned" [Both the above have been crossed out] Assignment (i) John Geary of Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire, grocer, executor of Joan Phipp late of Potton, widow who was executrix of Nicholas Phipp (ii) James Metcalfe of Roxton, esquire (iii) John Whetham of Red Lion Square London, esquire consideration: £465.15.0 paid by iii) to Catherine Caseburn widow, grand-daughter of Joan Phipp for use of Joan Phipp some short time before her death being full principal & interest due on within mentioned mortgage (i) discharges (iii) & assigns property to (ii) in trust for (iii) witnesses: John Merrill, Samuel Luke 31 October 1729
