Donated by his son Noel Fitzgerald. Desmond Fitzgerald was born in 1879, probably at his father's tea estate in the Kangra Valley in Punjab, India. Education not known. Was employed in the Indian Police. Retired in 1935 by which time tea estate had been sold. Diaries refer to Bedford (lived at 35 Chaucer Road. Died in 1967. Includes diaries, letters and family history research.
