    Probate of the will of Reverend Leonard Elye Towne, clerk, deceased, of Woolsthorpe - to wife Mary all household furniture (except plate), all money, personal estate etc plate to her for life and then to nephew Thomas Elye Norris - to friends Lewin Chomley, George David Faithfull reversion (expectant upon death of mother, Penelope Frances Towne, widow) in messuage and homestead (5 acres) in Bottesford, Leicestershire, now in possesion of widow Cross, and land (100 acres Ords 20p) as divided in Bottesford called New Pasture, Debdale Field and Middle Field, and land (15 acres) in Bottesford, in the meadow, now in occupation of widow Cross Friends to be trustees to enable sister Sarah Elye Norris to take rents for her life and then, upon trust, to convey property to children of said sister. - share in closes land at Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire (60 acres) now in occupation of William Sharpe, and in share of land in Buckminster and Sewstern, Leicestershire in occupation of Jackson, and all other lands in England in trust to raise money to pay debts (for which he makes Melton and Buckminster estates chargeable) and to pay profits to sister Sarah Elye Norris for life and then to her children. wife Mary appointed sole executrix witnesses: George White N Townsend John Marshall 19 December 1826 With codicil - to friends Lewin Cholmley and George Davis Faithfull £716 13s 11d Bank stock in trust to pay interest to wife Mary for life, and then to sister Sarah Elye Norris for life and then to Sarah Norris junior and Frances Elizabeth Norris, her two daughters witnesses: Charles Norris Elizabeth Kemp George White 22 June 1830 Probate (PCC) sworn under £4,000 25 august 1830 With four accounts for legacy duty 1831-1861
