A colour photograph of a portrait in oils by the one-armed Bromham schoolmaster, Joseph Carrier, circa. 1900. The picture depicts John Odell, baker and sub-postmaster; Edward Orpin, farmer to Mr Benjamin Howkins; and Matt Tebbutt, shepherd. Joseph Carrier emigrated to Canada after leaving Bromham school. Mrs Kay, a greatniece of Mr Orpin, now owns the portrait. Produced by the Photographic Unit of Bedfordshire County Council from original negatives made in the 1920s-30s.
